Portable Recorders

Most professional cameras have the ability to recored at least 2 split tracks of sound but sometimes that's just not enough. Or you might need to monitor independently of the camera operator. Portable recorders like the excellent Tascam DR40 or DR60 allow the sound for you shoot to be recorded and the synced up to the images in the edit.
