The Tilta Nucleus-M is a powerful wireless follow focus system designed to meet the demands of professional film productions. Its standout features make it an essential tool for busy film sets where speed, precision, and flexibility are critical.
Comes with 2 motors to control 2 channels, typically focus and iris, however can also be used to control zoom.
One of its key features is long-range wireless control, offering up to 1000 feet of reliable connectivity between the hand units and motor systems. This allows camera assistants to adjust focus, iris, and zoom remotely — perfect for gimbal, drone, Steadicam, or dolly work, where physically accessing the lens isn’t feasible.
The system’s high-torque, brushless motors are another major asset. They provide strong, responsive, and virtually silent operation, with torque powerful enough to drive even stiff cinema lenses without needing extra power sources. The motors can be daisy-chained for simplified cabling and are highly configurable, offering multiple mounting and power options to fit various rigs.
The Nucleus-M includes two handgrips and a FIZ (Focus/Iris/Zoom) controller, each with programmable buttons and adjustable parameters. This flexibility supports different operator preferences and shooting scenarios, whether you need a single AC pulling focus or a multi-operator setup managing all lens functions independently, for drones, cranes, gimbals or large rigs. A third motor is available as an additional hire if you required three axis of control, however our standard kit includes 2 motors as focus and aputure are the more common requirements.
